RAIN FORCES DOUBLE FEATURES AT HUMBERSTONE SPEEDWAY
Despite threatening weather reports, Humberstone Speedway completed 4 of their 5 divisions of qualifying heats while only the Sportsman failed to run their qualifiers sponsored by the Niagara Square Mall in Niagara Falls, Ontario before the rain finally fell. With Niagara Auto Sales Pro 4 Trucks having the night off, the Mod Lites filled the card as well as the ever popular School Bus Race which will be rescheduled.
In the Young Automotive Professionals 358 Modified heats were won by Shayne Pierce, Justin Sharp and Tommy Flannigan. In the visiting Mod Lites, Jordan Curran took the lone heat, Kevin Aube and Tyler Anderson won the Brian's Tire Repair heats. The Ron's Automotive Mini Stock heats were won by Austin Wood and Aaron Wiley. The Cosco Haulage heats were not run due to the rain.
AFTER THOUGHTS: Mother Nature spoiled the evening after all but the Sportsman heats were completed. Double features will be run on July 4th for the Street Stocks and the Sportsman plus Round 2 of the Joe Cosco Mini Stock Series, regular scheduled Pro 4 Truck race plus the Pure Stocks. A Flag Pole race and a huge Holiday Fireworks display will cap off the night, with the pits opening at 4:30, grandstands at 5:00 and racing at 6:30 Sharp!!! The Twin Mini Stock features will be rescheduled at a later date. The 358 Modifieds will run double features on the July 11th Stars Of NASCAR Night. The Mod Lites will be rescheduled for July 18th for their double features. It's almost showtime for the Stars Of NASCAR Race Of Champions with the discount admission price deadline near, You have until June 30th at Midnight to get your tickets before the go up to full price for the July 11th extravaganza as Bobby Labonte, Dave Blaney compete with Michael Waltrip joining Clinton Geoffrey on the Mic.
