HUMBERSTONE SPEEDWAY EXPERIMENTS WITH EXTENDING LAPS
At a recent Humberstone Speedway drivers meeting, General Manager Bob Davidson announced that he will experiment with extending 5 laps to the Cosco Haulage Sportsman class. Davidson states that due to competitiveness of the Sportsman Crate Motors and how close they compete, he will make the feature events 30 laps. The Cosco Haulage Sportsman have been very closely battled and to avoid wreckage, this will give drivers from the back of the pack, a chance to get through the field cleaner with less rush and crush. PR director Fran Bushardt states “ Humberstone has had some of the cleanest Sportsman racing on the Dirt-Car circuit and this should further enhance the division.”
