THE NEW HUMBERSTONE SPEEDWAY HOSTING AUGUST DOUBLEHEADER

As the month of August approaches, So does the Grand-Daddy of them all as the New Humberstone Speedway hosts the Civic Holiday Molson All Canadian Championships. Southern Ontario's longest standing signature event will draw many of the racing enthusiasts to the 1/3 mile clay oval. This is in celebration of Humberstone's 50 Anniversary of Racing, Saturday August 1st and Sunday August 2nd will be the important dates to put on your calender. 9 different classes of race cars plus Go Karts all divisions will be served up on the Humberstone Speedway menu.
The All Canadian Championships date back to the late 50s and continues with time trials and extra length features in all divisions. Saturday's program will be Sponsored by Brian's Tire Repair and will begin at 12 noon as Performance Manufacturing and RCM Racing will debut Go-Kart racing to the mini oval. 2PM will bring a chance to meet all the drivers as they are introduced and will draw for their time trial spots at Humberstone Speedway's Molson Tent. Those Time trials will take place for Saturday's divisions which will include the 358 Modifieds, The Niagara Auto Sales Pro 4 Trucks, and the Pure Stocks. The Modifieds will compete for 50 laps and will be a Syracuse Qualifier as well 20 laps for the Pure Stocks and Pro 4 Trucks. The New York Modified Midgets will be added to the show as well as the ever popular School Bus Race. The program will be concluded with the Holiday Fireworks. Live Music and Camping and the Molson Tent will be part of the weekend. Racing will commence at 7:00PM
The Sunday Racing program will be presented by Economy Paving and will continue at 2 PM with driver introductions and the draw for time trials at the band stage for Sundays divisions which will include: The Cosco Haulage Dirt-Car Sportsman, the Brian's Tire Repair Street Stocks, and the Mini Stocks. The Ontario Dirt Late Models will also be part of the extravaganza. The racing will begin at 7:00PM and will again conclude with a huge Fireworks show
Lap money is available to the Pure Stock, Mini Stocks, Pro 4 Trucks at $10.00 per lap as sold and the Street Stocks, Sportsman and 358 Modifieds at $20.00 per lap as sold. This will be in addition to other bonus monies as will make up the 2009 version of the Molson All Canadian Championships. Live music will take place on both Saturday and Sunday before and after the races as well as plenty of family fun in the parking lot which also includes a pit stop tire changing competition and FREE CAMPING all weekend.
