Speedway on Hamilton Limo Night

Jaimie Wagner-The New Humberstone Speedway, Port Colborne

38 Cosco Haulage Sportsman were on hand last night at The New Humberstone Speedway and Luke Carleton beat out all of them to captured his first win of the 2008 season on Hamilton Limo night. Carleton took the leader from early leader Mark Dixon in his 140 car, on lap 9. But the P38 of Rob Pratt wasn't going to give Carleton the win easily. Pratt, taking the outside lane of the track, and Carleton, who ran the inside line, battled thru out the rest of the 25 lap event. On lap 11, Pratt would take the lead away from the 26H car sending him to 2nd. The 88 of Don Spiece having a good run racing in 3rd, followed by the 9 of Paul Gaboury in 4th. Lap 23 the race shifted with the P38 getting caught up in lap traffic and the 26H using that to his advantage and stealing the lead as starter Barry Davidson waved the checkered flag to finish the race. Top 5 were Luke Carleton, Rob Pratt, Don Spiece, Mike Bowman, and Greg Panunte. (Heat Winners were Rob Pratt, Mark Dixon, Greg Panunte, and Paul Gaboury)
